About us

It takes a diverse team of dedicated employees to provide a safe, affordable, reliable, lower-carbon energy future. As the province’s largest energy provider, we’re putting more than 100 years of knowledge into creating a better tomorrow for all British Columbians.

Let’s rethink BC’s energy future

We have a growing supply of carbon-neutral renewable gases for homes, businesses, industry and transportation. We own 50,000 km of natural gas lines and 7,260 km of electric transmission and distribution lines. Our policies and actions support the CleanBC Roadmap to 2030, the Paris Climate Agreement and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We’re committed to Indigenous relationships and Reconciliation and actively invest in Indigenous communities, job training and recruitment.

The energy to think differently

It takes a diverse team to create a lower carbon future while providing safe and affordable energy. We have more than 2,500 employees working hard to provide natural gas, electricity and renewable energy to approximately 1.2 million British Columbians. Canadian-owned and BC-based, we work and live in your towns, cities and neighbourhoods.

We believe in building stronger communities. That’s what drives us to be innovators in the energy sector, offering renewable and alternative energy solutions for homes, businesses and transportation in BC and beyond. There’s a lot to be excited about. Together with community groups, government, industry, our regulators and our parent company Fortis Inc., we’re rethinking the future of energy.
